Mercylight is an Institution of a Public Character (IPC). Eligible donations qualify for tax deduction in accordance with prevailing regulations.

Corporate donations allow us to direct funds where they are needed most, ensuring that our dogs receive timely medical care, nutritious food, rehabilitation support and a safe environment while waiting for adoption.

Looking for a meaningful CSR activity that allows your employees to directly interact with rescued dogs?

Our corporate volunteering programme provides an opportunity for teams to spend time with our dogs while supporting our daily shelter operations.

Available Sessions

Weekday Morning Sessions

• Monday to Friday, 9.15am to 12.00pm

Weekday Evening Sessions

• Monday to Friday (except Wednesdays and Thursdays), 5.30pm to 8.00pm

Dates are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Group Size & Requirements

• Maximum 10 volunteers per session
• Volunteers must be at least 21 years old
• No accompanying children
• Every volunteer must complete and sign our participation form prior to attending

For safety, welfare, and operational purposes, volunteers who do not complete the required participation form will not be able to enter the shelter.

What to Expect

A typical session lasts approximately three hours, although the actual duration may vary depending on the size and efficiency of the group.

Activities may include:

• Walking multiple rounds of dogs (one dog per volunteer)
• Assisting with feeding
• Spending time bonding with the dogs
• Supporting rehabilitation exercises for senior and special-needs dogs
• Assisting with heat pad therapy, stretching exercises and TENS therapy under guidance from our team

Many of our dogs are seniors or have medical conditions. Your time and companionship provide valuable enrichment and help improve their quality of life.

For companies looking to make a direct and measurable impact, the following sponsorship opportunities support some of our most essential and recurring needs.

Sponsor Specialised Veterinary Diets

Many of our senior and special-needs dogs require vet-approved therapeutic diets to manage chronic health conditions.

Current requirement:

• 6 to 8 bags per month
• $120 - 228 per bag

These specialised diets are essential but represent a significant recurring expense for the shelter.

Sponsor Annual Blood Testing

Regular blood testing allows us to monitor the health of our dogs and detect medical issues early.

Testing is typically conducted:

• April to May
• September to October

We currently care for 60 to 70 dogs.

Veterinary Costs (2026)

• Senior Dog Package - $264.35 per dog
• Standard Dog Package - $190.40 per dog

Companies may sponsor one dog, multiple dogs or contribute towards the overall medical fund.

Sponsor Veterinary Bills Directly

For organisations that prefer greater transparency, sponsorship can be made directly to our veterinary partner.

Companies may choose to:

• Donate through Mercylight; or
• Pay approved veterinary invoices directly to the clinic and inform us accordingly

Sponsor Medical Supplements

Many of our dogs require ongoing gastrointestinal support and recovery care.

VetPlus PROMAX® Gastrointestinal Health Supplement

• Approximately $33 per unit
• Around 20 units support our needs for about six months

Canigest Anti-Diarrhoea Paste

• Approximately $35 per unit
• Around 40 units support our needs for about six months

Companies may purchase these items directly from reputable suppliers and arrange delivery to the shelter.

Sponsor Transport for Veterinary & Rehabilitation Visits

Many of our dogs require regular transport to veterinary appointments, specialist consultations and rehabilitation sessions.

Transport costs approximately:

• $80 per round trip

These journeys are essential to the health and recovery of our dogs but create significant recurring expenses for the shelter.

Your sponsorship helps ensure that our dogs continue receiving the medical care they need.

Professional expertise can be just as valuable as financial support.

We welcome assistance in areas such as:

• Photography
• Videography
• Marketing
• Graphic design
• IT support
• Veterinary-related expertise
