Yuki's Story
After being rescued, volunteers discovered a serious fracture in her leg. She underwent surgery, months of rehabilitation and, after more than three years in our care, finally found a loving family.
Yuki's journey shows what is possible when a homeless dog receives the care, time and support she needs.

Every Rescue Has A Story
Every year, Mercylight rescues dogs that arrive with different medical needs and challenges.
Some are injured and require emergency treatment or surgery. Some arrive with illnesses that require ongoing medication and veterinary monitoring. Others need rehabilitation, therapy or additional support before they are ready to find a new home.
For these dogs, rescue is only the beginning.
Recovery can take weeks, months or even years. During this time, they need veterinary care, nutritious food, a safe shelter, rehabilitation and people who are willing to give them the time they need to heal.
