Background
Macy and Merlin were rescued on 9 Jan 2023. Their rescue was in a way, connected to Mercy, so we intentionally picked names starting with "M". We were looking for Mercy (who was lost by her potential adopters) in Lim Chu Kang when we chanced upon these 2 dogs. They seemed to have no feeder and were pretty skinny. Our first encounter with them was that they ate like they had not eaten proper food for a long time. They kept taking in whatever was available with wagging tails. It was a cute yet heartbreaking encounter. Macy means ""gift of God/Yahweh".
Personality
Macy is a very gentle, affectionate and human-friendly dog. She loves asking for belly rubs by rolling onto her back with a wagging tail, and gives kisses to those she loves. She absolutely loves to eat and enjoys her walks. Macy will make a good family dog.
Adoption Requirements
- As per AVS regulation, medium sized dogs are not of HDB approved size unless they qualify under ADORE. An owner of landed house or private condominium are allowed to keep up to 3 licensed dogs.
- Adopter must agree to sterilize the dog and vaccinate it annually.
- Adopter must allow home visits, if requested.
- Adopter must have a proper space area for the dog. It must not be caged up, confined to a small space or tied to a leash throughout each day.
- Adopter must be able to feed twice and walk the dog thrice a day (morning, evening & before bedtime) and bathe the dog at least once a week.
- Clean water must always be made available to the dog.
- To arrange a viewing of any dog for adoption purpose, your whole family must be present as adoption should be agreed as a family.
- Dog license must be applied and renewed when necessary.
- The monthly preventives of Heartgard and Nexgard must be continued.
- The dog should be fed dog kibbles and fresh meat (cooked or prepared appropriately, and not raw meat) unless otherwise advised by the veterinarian (not leftover human food or vegetarian diet).
